We are so excited to introduce you to our current featured artists at the Inn at the Lake. You may come any time to view their art for sale from now until July 27th. We will be hosting a reception on Sunday, July 7th from 3-5 p.m. with wine and charcuterie and you will have a chance to meet the artists and find a treasure to take home with you! Here is a brief bio on each as a preview...
KATIE BRIGGS
Executive Director
Lake City Arts
My names Katie Briggs. My husband and I have recently moved to Powderhorn. We love everything that this area has to offer. When I’m not holding a pencil you can usually find me playing in the dirt of the San Juan’s.
I grew up watching John Wayne movies, listening to Willie and Waylon and Coors is my drink of choice. This has been a recipe for a lot of my pieces lately. So stay tuned as I experience embracing the western side of things for a git and letting it fuel some of my Curren works.
JAKE BRIGGS

Jake Briggs has an insatiable hunger for photographic expression that was born out of his lust for adventuring and a deep respect for the wilderness, with his primary focus being astrophotography and endangered wildlife. Growing up in Boston, it was early on that Jake felt a pull toward the west, and fate landed him here in the late 90’s as a thirsty teenager with an appetite for creativity. Documenting experiences that aluminate gratitude for off grid exploration has become his life’s pursuit. Jake and his wife Katie live remotely in Powderhorn CO and asidefrom solitude they hold their friends and family above all else.
(In addition to printing all of his work locally at their seasonal access cabin, all frames are also hand made by the artist.)
